Adelaide Guitar Festival Orchestra & Melbourne Guitar Quartet
Next to all this, the Adelaide Guitar Festival Orchestra (more commonly known as AGFO) has been through a week of hard work with the tutoring of the Melbourne Guitar Quartet (MGQ) and Dr. Paul Svoboda, with a magnificent concert at the Dunstan Playhouse on the 15th of July.
The MGQ too had their own jaw-dropping concert with a unique repertoire of Contemporary Australian Classical Guitar music.
Adelaide International Classical Guitar Competition
For those who like to take on a challenge, the Adelaide international classical guitar competition is the most popular and distinguished classical guitar competition in the Southern Hemisphere!
This competition has had a number of now world-famous winners since its establishment in 2010, with the most recent winner of 2022 Connor Whyte, who also performed a breathtaking selection at the 2023 Adelaide Guitar Festival.
Needless to say, the Adelaide Guitar Festival is amongst the best guitar events in the world, and for sure a place where guitarists transform!
